Marc Daly seemingly bashes his marriage to his estranged wife Kenya Moore in the March 1 promo of “Real Housewives of Atlanta.” The pair’s heated argument took place last September during a reception event in Atlanta for The Black Man Lab organization.
The restaurant owner is now speaking out through an Instagram post about the couple’s explosive scene. However, instead of apologizing to Moore, Daly expressed his regret to the men in The Black Man Lab.
Daly posted on his restaurant’s IG page, “As a person of color, it is of paramount importance for me to showcase the positive aspects of my people, hence the reason for my involvement in The Black Man’s Lab experience. Unfortunately, my genuine attempt at doing something positive was compromised by my personal situation. For that, I sincerely apologize and take sole responsibility. I want to thank all those involved with the Black Man’s Lab for their support after the event. I would like to end by saying, I have full admiration for the organization and am always available to engage and contribute to its efforts.”
“RHOA” fans appeared to bash Daly’s apology. Many social media users felt he should have apologized to his wife instead of the organization, and they poured forth with their opinions.
One user said, “chowwww he be throwing Kenya under the bus, backing up and running over her again😭😭😭😭😭😭.”
“How is Kenya being blamed and the episode hasn’t even aired yet?🤔Marc has been extremely mean to Kenya all season and even joked about her drowning. 🤦Marc isn’t innocent in his toxic behavior🙄,” said a second fan.
“Basically he’s saying his wife stays embarrassing him. Divorce loading in 3…2…1.., said a third user.
The Black Man Lab is an Atlanta-based group whose primary focus is to provide a safe space for Black men as well as provide the opportunity for Black men to network and fellowship with one another.
During the Sept. 17 reception dinner — which came one day after they appeared together with their daughter as a smiling couple on the set of “The Tamron Hall Show” in New York — Daly admitted he did not enjoy the ride that came with being married. In addition, he suggested that everyone knew he hated being married. Daly apparently felt the need to apologize to the organization because he believed his argument with Moore overshadowed the true meaning of the event.
