NeNe Leakes recently started promoting her “Ladies Night Out Comedy Tour.” In addition to talking to the press about her tour, the star spoke out about her feuding relationship with “Real Housewives of Atlanta” co-star Kenya Moore.
Leakes sat down with Entertainment Tonight on the Feb. 18 episode and listened to a clip of Moore speaking out about her on Andy Cohen’s “Watch What Happens Live!” During the episode, Moore told Cohen she believed Leakes is getting phased out of the show because Bravo! is cutting her out of many episodes this season.
In reference to Leakes potentially leaving the show, Leakes told ET, “If I leave the show and Kenya stays on the show, she will be the demise of the show.”
Leakes explained to viewers that the show has been good to her, and if it was her time to leave the show, she would be okay with that. Leakes continued the conversation by saying, “I have been there since the beginning. I opened up this door, so Kenya ‘Big Mouth’ Moore could walk through it.”
The two stars have been feuding since Moore’s high-risk pregnancy in 2018. Moore accused Leakes of not reaching out to her during her pregnancy and claimed Leakes referred to her as a “monster” and her daughter, Brooklyn Daly as a buffalo.
Leakes continued the interview by saying, “She’s a nasty girl. Her attitude is nasty. I didn’t spit on her, but I sort of kind of wished I had.”
Many fans took Leakes’ side when she said Moore would bring the show down if Leakes left, and the fans expressed their two cents on social media.
“One user said, “Kenya is showing the world that she wants Nene’s spot. Now every mean thing that Kenya does from here on out we all know that she is definitely being jealous hearted, vindictive, malicious, and just gross.”
Another fan commented, ” They stay steppin on NeNe’s neck and I just don’t get it!”
A third fan said, “Kenya is toxic!!! I refuse to watch her antics and wouldn’t want her in my personal space.”
“NeNe is right,” a fourth fan said.
In regards to Leakes returning to show next season, she explained to the viewers she doesn’t know if she is returning for sure. However, she doesn’t want to be in a setting where she feels as if the girls are being malicious toward her.
