‘Let Me Not Judge Him’: T.I. and Fabolous Say Acceptance of Both Their Daughters Dating Rappers Not an Easy Feat

Rappers T.I. and Fabolous have a bit of a checkered past when it comes to their relationships with women, and, as life would have it, both men also happen to be fathers of gorgeous young women who have found themselves head over heels in love with rappers similar to their fathers.

Given their experiences in the industry and personal missteps, both men expressed they were not quick to approve of their daughters’ relationships with their music industry colleagues.

Atlanta rapper T.I.’s stepdaughter Zonnique Pullins has been dating Bandhunta Izzy for more than a year. While Taina Williams’ relationship with rapper G Herbo became news at the top of last year.

Both fathers spoke candidly about their reservations toward the young men on T.I.’s podcast “ExpediTIously.” While Fabolous says he tried not be judgmental, he was watchful of the way the rapper handled the responsibility of dating his 21-year-old daughter.

“I know just from walking in a room and you having the title of a rapper, automatically the bad by, you doing wrong, infidelity. It don’t come out of nowhere, so I do understand it,” he explained. “But at the same time, let me not judge him until I know him. That’s what I wanted to do with him.”

T.I., on the other hand, was upfront about having zero interest in his 23-year-old daughter’s decision to date a rapper.

“With me, it’s ‘f–k this ni–a ’til he show me otherwise,'” he said. Still, after a year of getting to know the Baltimore rapper, Troubleman says he wants the couple to last.

“I must say, the young man that she’s dealing with, he’s a cool cat. He’s a respectable young man. I’ll admit this, they’ve lasted a lot longer than expected, so at this point, I’m rooting for them to go all the way.”
