‘You’re Dumb’: Erica Dixon Trashed After Revealing Her 8-Month Old Twins Aren’t Vaccinated

“Love and Hip Hop Atlanta” veteran Erica Dixon welcomed a surprise set of twin girls into the world almost a year ago and has yet to get them vaccinated.

On Jan. 16 Dixon tweeted, “My twins are 8 months now. Never been vaccinated and have never been sick,” and caused quite the stir amongst fans who either strongly agreed with her stance or vehemently stand by vaccinations.

“As long as people keep their unvaccinated children away from my children 😂”

“I grew up getting vaccinated. To each it’s own!”

“Not the best idea … but who am I just a mother w/children in public areas!”

“No need, breast feeding takes care of all that 💯”

The following days she doubled down on her personal decision by tweeting, “People are dying everyday from several disease. You do realize it’s 2020 and vaccinations are preventative measure in hopes that the body builds an immunity to the disease put in the child’s body,” in response to a fans concerns of those who have died from polio and measles.

Dixon, who shares 14-year-old daughter Emani Richardson with her ex Lil Scrappy, regularly started sharing photos of Embrii and Eryss in October. Prior to that the 35-year-old mother of three had been very conscious of what she shared regarding the twins.

She successfully kept her pregnancy under wraps until February of last year, just four months before giving birth. She has never publicly identified the father.

“Blessed beyond what I deserve. 🙏 This has been a difficult yet rewarding journey for me with the sickness and scares but we’ve conquered and will continue to,” she said on Instagram.

Even more impressive than her secret-keeping skills was her body’s ability to snap back and look good in a bathing suit just weeks after delivery.

“Runway ready!”

“😍 You had them twins and look like that ???”

“Snapped BACK Hunny YASSS 👏🙌🏻”

Independent journalism still matters.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
