It’s safe to say David Adefeso, Tamar Braxton‘s boyfriend, isn’t letting anyone meddle in their relationship, not even family.
Braxton, her 6-year-old son Logan Herbert and Adefeso recently celebrated their first Thanksgiving together as a family, and it apparently was a special moment for the financial services firm CEO.
As a matter of fact, the trio spent the holiday with Adefeso’s Nigerian family, who seem to be quite fond of Braxton and her son. He claimed a majority of his family members already considers them as their own flesh and blood.

The CEO’s family accepting Braxton and 6-year-old Logan as their own apparently means a great deal to him, seeing as some Nigerian families can be quite aloof and meddlesome to newcomers, according to Adefeso.
“Yesterday my @tamarbraxton , Beans and I hosted our first thanksgiving dinner as a family. My dynamic 80 year old mom, sister, brother-in-law and niece as well as more than 30 close friends of ours attended. We had a blast!!!” he said via Instagram on Friday, Nov. 29, along with a picture of Braxton and her son.
“It always amazes me to see how Tamar and my family took to each other from the moment they met back in Nigeria; they love her and she loves them right back. During dessert my mom stood up to speak and she called Tamar her daughter.”
Adefeso then went onto to explain that many “African parents and families” tend to intrude into their children’s relationships and marriages, adding that he refused to “put Tamar through the misery” he’d seen other couples go through.
“I informed my family early on that they didn’t have a choice! They either love Tamar the way they love me and accept her the way I accept her….or they risk losing me completely.”
“Needless to say, I needn’t have worried!!” he continued. “My mom treats Tamar like her 4th daughter (I have 3 sisters) and Beans like her 13th grandchild #happythanksgiving #godblessournewfamily ❤️.”
Social media users gushed over Adefeso’s love for Braxton and his sweet memo.

It seems the passion between Braxton and Adefeso is still very much palpable despite the duo being together since last summer. Braxton had shielded her man’s identity from the public through the spring, but by April, Braxton and Adefeso made their red carpet debut as a couple at the premiere of “Braxton Family Values” season 6.
