Tami Roman stepped out Sunday night to attend the 2019 Soul Train Music Awards with daughter Lyric Anderson and, despite their differing dresses, their resemblance remained uncanny.
Roman and her 25-year-old daughter walked the red carpet together at the event, which took place at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada, Nov. 17.
“Everything has changed and somehow I’m more ME and more happy than I’ve ever been 💯,” read the former “Basketball Wives” star’s caption on a photo set she shared on her Instagram account.
Among the images of Roman and Anderson separately was one of the pair standing together. It was that photo that made fans realize that Roman did not make an outfit change or post a throwback pic as fans scrolled past an image of Roman and then one of Anderson.

Roman continues to move on from “Basketball Wives” since she bid the VH1 series she had long been a part of a bittersweet farewell earlier this fall.
“Over the course of my time with these ladies, it has definitely shaped me into who I am today,” she said in her final confessional scene on the show. “We’ve laughed, we have cried. They have supported me in my endeavors and I have supported them. I have been at the forefront of some of the most BS moments in history, and I wanna do better because I know to do better. It’s been nine years, it’s been a good run.”
Since putting the reality TV series in her rearview mirror, Roman has focused on her acting career. Recently, she attended the premiere of her Apple TV+ series “Truth Be Told,” in which she plays the “sassy” stepmother of Octavia Spencer‘s character.
