‘Out of Line’: Eva Marcille Called Out Over Her Remark About ‘Nappy’ ‘RHOA’ Cast Mates

Much like season 11, Eva Marcille has kicked off season 12 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” with another round of controversial remarks.

The second-time new mom is pregnant on the show this season, and she’s also not holding back on her feelings regarding her co-stars.

During a phone call with Cynthia Bailey as she continues filling in for Porsha Williams on “Dish Nation,” Marcille announces she is not dealing with any drama among the cast this season. The remark came after she heard Williams informed Kenya Moore why the “America’s Next Top Model” winner elected not to bring her children to Moore’s daughter’s party.

“These ladies need to get a hobby, b—h,” she said. “Or have another kid, but leave me out they mouth. I am not here for the s–t with these little nappy heads this year, I’m telling you. I will get all the South Central out on that ass.”

It was the description of her co-stars as “nappy heads” that rubbed many viewers the wrong way, with some accusing the model of colorism. They also recalled Marcille’s remarks last season about friend of the show Shamea Morton.

“Blaque is cute,” Marcille said, referencing former peach holder Shamari DeVoe‘s group Blaque. “She’s Black, she’s snatched, she’s married. Shamea’s Black, too. She ain’t Blaque with a ‘q.’”

Fans sounded off on her comments.

“Eva with that nappy head comment rubbed me the wrong way that b—h is a colorist #RHOA”

“When Eva said ‘with these little nappy heads’ it did not sit right on my spirit. It gave off colorism vibes to be honest #RHOA”

“Eva has to know that referencing black women as ‘these nappy heads’ and last year’s Shamea comment are inappropriate. She likes to make these subtle digs and fake ignorance… #RHOA”

“Eva have the audacity to call somebody nappy headed and her daughter hair is kinky also #RHOA”

“Eva was out of line with those comments like girl it wasn’t even that deep for you to be saying those things about My fav Porsha.”

Williams herself also reacted to the dig, sharing the clip on her Instagram page Sunday night with the caption: “#Rhoa is in now !! 🌴🐍🤔 First of all we C-Section moms rock 🤯!!!!! Just as much as natural moms SMH ((Why we always gotta be called ‘NAPPYYYY??’ Make it make sense))👸🏾I’ll address the rest later stay tuned.”

Marcille has not responded to the controversy on her social media platforms.
