‘Bring Back the Blue’: Keyshia Cole’s Throwback Photo Goes Left When Fans Ask Her to Bring Back This Look

Keyshia Cole has been laying low since she had her baby boy a couple of months ago. However, she still makes time to celebrate her friends on social media.

Cole took to Instagram Friday to wish her friend and industry peer Monica another year of strong finishes after the Grammy-award-winning artist turned 39-years-old Thursday.

“Happy birthday @monicadenise You’re a strong woman! You deserve THEE BEST! 💕💪🏽,” Cole captioned.

It’s unclear if Cole was referencing Monica’s recently finalized divorce from ex-NBA baller Shannon Brown, and fans, mesmerized by seeing the two singers together, didn’t seem to mention Brown.

“Legends”

“EBONY-QUEEN’S ! “

“We DESERVE another collaboration😂🔥🔥🔥 @keyshiacole 💰 @monicadenise ❤️”

Others made mention of the singers’ looks, with Cole sporting blue from her hair to her suit and Monica in a red short cut and white flowing fit.

“Gorgeously beautiful two women. My women crush”

“I like dat sweethearts red and blue”

“Bring back the blue”

Monica and Cole have been friends for years.

Cole even gave fans a special treat when she brought the R&B mainstay on tour with her Jan. 26 in Oklahoma City.

The two had collaborated on the song “Trust” back in 2009.

The song was initially featured on Cole’s 2008 album “A Different Me” as a solo track, and it was re-recorded before the end of the year with Monica’s vocals.

It peaked at No. 5 on Billboard’s Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs chart, and last year, Monica, Cole and Faith Evans hit the road as part of The First Ladies of R&B tour.

Cole and Monica have been friends for so long that fans noticed when the younger songstress was missing from Monica’s wedding to Shannon Brown in 2011. There’s no drama there though.

“Was on tour that’s why I couldn’t make it, spoke to Mo a few days ago. Very happy for both her N Shannon,” Cole tweeted.

She and Monica even have birthdays less than two weeks apart.

Cole turned 38-years-old Oct. 15, and she thanked fans a day later on Instagram.

“Thank you for all the Birthday wishes. (I’ve seen them ALL😉) Truly a blessing…. Love you all ❤️,” she captioned.
