Keyshia Cole recently took a stroll down memory lane with a picture of herself and her mother Francine “Frankie” Lons.
The 38-year-old crooner took to her Instagram story on Thursday and shared an old photo of herself and Lons for “Throwback Thursday.” The photo showed a young Cole draped in all white with a blue wrap as she posed for a picture with her mother. Lons embraced her daughter as they both smiled big for the camera.
“TBT,” Cole captioned the picture.
The “Let It Go” artist has had a complicated relationship with Lons over the years due to her mother’s history with drug addiction. However, fans recently learned that Lons, her biological mother, and Yvonne Cole, her adoptive mother, apparently will appear on Keyshia’s new BET untitled reality series that’s set to air sometime soon.
“Had a awesome FIRST WEEK OF FILMING KEYSHIA COLE IS COMING BACK TO BET!!!!! She’s bringing Something SPECIAL! A BABY SPECIAL,” Keyshia wrote of her television special in July. “Both MY MOMMIES, HOPEFULLY Happy to be working back with u lots of Fun and LAUGHTER.”
Lons also was spotted at her daughter’s lavish baby shower over the summer, hanging out with Keyshia and her boyfriend Niko “Khale” Hale. Fans swooned over the mother-daughter duo’s repaired relationship.
“I love Yu Frank the bank..💕aww the love for her son-in-law and daughter in these pictures are priceless 😘,” one fan commented at the time.
Another added, “Omggg this is soo cute 😂💜 look at Frankie!! 😍 so happy y’all made up. Family means everything! Congrats on the baby 👏”
The “Heaven Sent” artist and Hale welcomed their first child together on Thursday, August 1. Earlier this month, the couple finally revealed their newborn’s name, Tobias. It’s unclear where the child’s name comes from, but he already has an official IG page that’s private from the public.
Baby Tobias is Hale’s first child and Keyshia’s second. She shares 10-year-old son Daniel Gibson Jr. with her estranged husband, former NBA player Daniel “Booby” Gibson,
