Steve Harvey no longer as his daytime talk show, but he recently excited his fans by alluding to a new project with mogul Tyler Perry.
In a brief video the comedian shared to his Instagram page Friday, Harvey and Perry hugged one another as the crowd gathered around them cheered. The two actors, who also shook hands and smiled and laughed, had been at Perry’s new Tyler Perry Studios located at the U.S. Army military base of Fort McPherson in Atlanta.
“This brothers studios you have to see UNBELIEVABLE !!!!!
Just shot a special project there coming soon…… but y’all gotta go see it @tylerperry @tylerperrystudios,” Harvey captioned the footage.
Perry’s 12 sound stage studios opened earlier in October and feature a variety of sets with each stage named after icons of Black Hollywood. Harvey doesn’t have a namesake stage but he does have an upcoming project with Perry that was filmed at the studios. And that’s something that fans are eager to see.

Harvey has continued to work hard in the wake of his former talk show “Steve” getting canceled this past summer. The news of the talker being pulled from NBC markets first emerged last September amid reports that singer Kelly Clarkson would land her own show. But then, Harvey was booted altogether and “The Kelly Clarkson Show” became the new lead-in to “The Ellen DeGeneres Show.”
“You just don’t put something in the paper and say, ‘I’m just going to make this move right here,’ because it’s crazy,” Harvey said in January at the Variety Entertainment Summit of NBC’s decision. “My show ‘Steve’ is the only show in the last seven years in syndication that has stuck.”
But now, Harvey is looking ahead to bigger and better things. In addition to his work with Perry, the comedian recently invested in two TV networks for new projects.
