‘Who Funeral Y’all Was Going To’: Tommie Lee Hits Back at Fans Trashing Her Hip Hop Awards Look

Former “Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tommie Lee is getting dragged all over social media for her latest fashion faux pas.

The 35-year-old TV star attended the 2019 BET Hip Hop Awards on Saturday, Oct. 5, and apparently left a sour taste in fans’ mouths with her unconventional fashion style. She donned a light blue bustier with gold patterning, white joggers, pastel yellow Chanel flats and yellow tulle gloves adorned with purple flowers. Lee complimented her look with a black sleeping mask and multi-colored umbrella.

Lee’s peculiar red carpet look evidently wasn’t well received by the public.

“Why tf did Tommie wear sweat pants to the BET awards?” one Twitter user wrote. “She pulled up to BET looking like she was granted day release.”

Another person tweeted, “Now Tommie you BETTER have not paid a stylist for that ensemble you really went to the BET Hip Hop Awards in. #BetHipHopAwards2019 #Tommie”

Lee caught wind of all the backlash she was receiving online for her apparent fashion mistake and addressed naysayers in an Instagram video.

“Tommie you looked a mess,” Lee said jokingly, all while mocking her critics. “How dare you b–tch. That was hideous.” She also added in her caption, “Y’all Gotta kno idgaf 😂 who funeral y’all was going too lmao #BET2019#tommieshit “HipHop” awards.”

Several of her fans chimed in with their mixed reactions.

“Looked like you was bout to clean an oven 😩😭”

“I love it sis.. You ate up💕

“So you just woke up out the bed and said damn I fort it’s the bet awards 🤦‍♂️ I’m sooo disappointed in you 😫😂”

“I thought you looked cute ❤️”

In recent news, Lee is currently working on new music, which she has been sharing on her Instagram. Before she was hauled off to jail, she released a documentary titled “Truth” and a song with the same name that featured Anthony Hamilton. She’s currently promoting her single “No Cap,” which was released on Sept. 21.
