Tamar Braxton ventured off to a mystery tropical location with her boyfriend David Adefeso, and both the singer and her fans are hoping the weekend excursion resulted in a marriage proposal.
Braxton uploaded a series of brief videos to her Instagram page Friday showing how empty the hotel lobby and accompanying restaurant was.
“No one is at this whole place but me and my love,” the singer says in the footage after silently walking through the lobby. “It’s amazing and we got it for the value price, honey. … It’s amazing. I think he rented out the whole spot.
“I can’t believe this,” she adds as a pair of guitarists play while the couple shares dinner.
The setup seemed to be setting the stage for Adefeso to get on one knee and pop the question to his girlfriend of more than a year — at least, that’s what Braxton was hoping for if her caption was any indicator.
“I’m sure this isn’t coincidence🤔🤔🤔💰….. he better be asking questions tonight cause The P was already on reserve👀😩😂😂😂😂😉🥰🥰🥰 Either way I love you @david.adefeso Periodt 🙏🏼 #justmeandyou,” she captioned the Sept. 27 footage.
Many of Braxton’s fans also got the idea that Adefeso, who heads a firm specializing in helping businesses and consumers alike with financial tasks like 401k consulting and wealth management, may ask for Braxton’s hand in marriage.

Adefeso also stepped into the comments section to give his take on making moves to provide an intimate moment between himself and his girlfriend.
“Sometimes you have to shut it all down so you can shut down🔥🔥❤️❤️,” he replied.
However, it doesn’t seem as if the night ended in a proposal, based on the lack of a ring worn on Braxton’s finger during a frolic along the beach later that weekend. Still, there have been steps toward Braxton’s ability to wed.
In July, Braxton was successfully able to get her marital status changed to single as her divorce to estranged husband Vince Herbert heads toward the finalization stages.
