‘Pap Distracting Me’: Erica Mena’s ‘Double Date’ Pic of Her and Safaree With Remy and Husband Goes Left Over Papoose’s Outfit

Things took an unexpected turn when “Love and Hip Hop: New York” couple Erica Mena and Safaree Samuels linked up with Remy Ma and Papoose.

Tuesday evening, Mena posted a throwback picture of both couples on a double date at the 2019 MTV Video Music Awards last month. Samuels and Mena, who were both dressed formally, matched in their all-white attire and even flossed their dapper swag on the VMA’s red carpet. Remy was also dressed formally in a black ball gown, while her husband Papoose decided to opt for a casual look of white jeans and a T-shirt.

The “LHHNY” stars posed for a couples pic together, which the 31-year-old model captioned via Instagram, “We’re crazy, they’re not😂 Epic Double Date Vibes 🖤@remyma @papoosepapoose.”

Although Mena received over 129,000 likes on her post, fans quickly flooded her comments and pointed out Papoose’s dressed-down attire.

“@papoosepapoose A great dude but his dress up game is horrible 🤦🏿‍♂️ @safaree should have dressed him”

“Everybody dressed up except???? my dude come on pap man.”

“Yooo no lie Papoose distracting me 😂😂🤦🏽‍♀️ that’s my guy but he shoulda wore a tux or somein”

“Pap look dusty and mad 😭😭 over here giving me a yaadie kinda vibe wid di Stan up lol”

Neither Remy or Pap clapped back at the haters under Mena’s post.

However, it seems both couples may be getting acquainted more than ever, since they’re reportedly slated to star on season 10 of “LHHNY,” according to TMZ.

Mena hasn’t been on the series since season 8, but the “Hunnid” rapper was a starring member on the cast last year. There are no details on their upcoming storyline, but it may involve Mena’s exes, Cyn Santana and Rich Dollaz. It’s unconfirmed if Remy Ma and her husband Papoose will return for another season, but the pair have been featured on the past three seasons.

Other recurring members and newcomers include rapper Jim Jones and his fiancée Chrissy Lampkin, Tahiry Jose, Joe Budden, Juju Casteneda, Jonathan Fernandez, Dollaz, Santana, Jennaske, Danny Garcia and Erica Mendez.

TMZ reported that tensions on the set are already running high and fans can more than likely expect a “throwdown” on the show this season. Details involving the premiere date have yet to be released.
