‘The OG’s Are Back’: Jim Jones, Chrissy Lampkin and Tahiry Jose Slated to Join Season 10 of ‘LHHNY’

It looks like there’s been a shakeup of “Love and Hip Hop: New York” cast members for the new season.

A few of the original cast mates are reportedly returning to the Big Apple franchise, like rapper Jim Jones and his fiancée Chrissy Lampkin, who last appeared on the first and second seasons of the show. According to TMZ, the show is currently being filmed in Brooklyn as it gears up for its 10th season.

Jones and Lampkin’s returns are by far the most talked about, being as the “LHHNY” franchise began with them. The couple later quit the show due to what they deemed its “blaxpoitation,” a move made easier because they got their own spinoff series that ended in 2014. Their comeback could shake things up for Yandy Smith-Harris, who was Jones’ publicist years ago. Lampkin accused Smith-Harris of trading in her publicist hat for a spot on reality TV, neglecting her PR duties.

Another big name who’s supposed to be joining the new season is Tahiry Jose, the ex-girlfriend of retired rapper Joe Budden. As many know, Budden and his ex-fiancée Cyn Santana called it quits earlier this year, and fans are wondering if Jose and Budden might rekindle their old romance.

Safaree Samuels and his fiancée Erica Mena are also slated to join the New York franchise. Mena hasn’t been on the series since season 8, but the “Hunnid” rapper was a starring member on the cast last year. There are no details on their upcoming storyline, but it may involve Mena’s exes, Santana and Rich Dollaz.

Other reoccurring members and newcomers include: Juju Casteneda, Jonathan Fernandez, Dollaz, Jennaske, Danny Garcia and Erica Mendez. It’s unconfirmed if Remy Ma and her husband Papoose will return for another season. Emily “B” Bustamante, the off-and-on girlfriend of rapper Fabolous, is also rumored to return to the show, which could cause problems with Kimbella Vanderhee, an ex-fling of Fab and the wife of Juelz Santana, who is currently in prison.

TMZ reported that tensions on the set are already running high and fans can more than likely expect a “throwdown” on the show this season.

“LHHNY” fans seem ecstatic for the show’s return and can’t stop talkin about it on social media.

“Yesss 👏🏼👏🏼 bring the OG’s back I dont like this new. Crop😒 they boring. Now il be tuning in. Jim Jones and Chrissy hopefully Mama Jones makes an appearance too.”
