‘Hit Maker’: Tamar Braxton Fans Thankful for Singer Sharing More of Late Songwriter LaShawn Daniels with Them

As Tamar Braxton continues to mourn the death of her friend, collaborator and reality TV co-star LaShawn Daniels, she urged fans to listen to a playlist of the hits the producer/songwriter created. And her appreciative followers replied with praise for the singer sharing more of her pal and collaborator with them.

Braxton posted a screenshot of an Apple Music playlist compiled by John Moore that included many of the songs Daniels, known as Big Shiz, is responsible for. They included “The Boy Is Mine” by Brandy and Monica, Destiny’s Child’s “Say My Name” and Braxton’s own “Love and War.”

“Look for this AMAZING playlist on @iTunes. #lashawnDaniels EVERY Time I sing this song #Love&War, I PROMISE to dedicate it to you my friend!! EVERY concert, you will be remembered. Daniels died in a car accident in Catawba, South Carolina, last week after a truck driven by 32-year-old Jackie Moss struck the van LaShawn had been driving, York County Coroner Sabrina Gast told Greenville News.

Big Shiz is survived by his wife, April Daniels, and their three sons. Both April and LaShawn appeared on “Tamar & Vince” with Braxton and her estranged husband. With that in mind, fans thanked the singer for sharing the Grammy-winning songwriter with them on WEtv.

“We fell in love with him and April on your show…thank you for sharing his light 💔”

“It was so beautiful watching you two make each other laugh. I enjoyed seeing your friendship through the show,” someone else said in part.

“You guys had greatest chemistry called funny!!! Love watching you & Big Shiz in Tamar and Vince❤️❤️”

Others raved about the playlist, which spans Big Shiz’s career in pop, R&B and gospel.

“HIT MAKER ♥️ RIP”

“That playlist is everything. I never knew he had his hands in so many hits! I’m so thankful for him! 🙏”

“This is so dope…I wish you would’ve given him his flowers while he was still here to smell and appreciate them….we dont relieve how precious life is until it hits close to home…..we all need to love on each other now and not wait until a misfortune happens….🙏

A private funeral was held for Daniels in Charlotte, North Carolina, Sept. 10, as evidenced by Instagram posts of attendees. Celebrities like gospel singer Tasha Cobbs Leonard and DC alum Michelle Williams attended.
