Television personality Erica Mena came face-to-face with Nicki Minaj‘s ‘Barbs” this week, and it wasn’t too pretty, to say the least.
For those who don’t remember, the “Love and Hip Hop” star made some pretty shady remarks about the “Queen” MC earlier this year, and the Barbs weren’t too happy about it.
Well, Minaj’s fans clearly didn’t forget about Mena’s comments and had a few bones to pick with her when they spotted her at Rihanna‘s Diamond Ball on Thursday, Sept. 12. The 31-year-old model was captured on camera standing outside of the event with her team, waiting for her ride to arrive when a Minaj fan pressed her about her shady remarks.
“You’re a Barb,” one of the rapper’s supporters said to Mena. “No, I’m not part of that,” the agitated reality star replied. She added, “I’m a Barb, yes. A real Barbie.”
Minaj’s fans continued to harass Mena, and it was pretty evident that she was annoyed. She eventually walked away from the hecklers after an extremely tense exchange.
Social media users had a field day with the incident.

During an interview with Hot 97 with radio host Nessa Diab which was released on April 25, Mena claimed she never listened to any of Minaj’s music. The “Superbass” rap diva is the ex-girlfriend of Safaree Samuels, who’s now Mena’s fiancé.
“Honestly, I grew up on Lil Kim so heavy that when [Nicki Minaj] came out, I was, like, ‘ugh she’s biting my girl.’ It just was what it was,” she said. “She’s great at what she does, but me personally. … If it’s in the club and you’re nice. But I would never … I don’t know the words.”
Minaj herself has yet to address her Barbs on Mena’s behalf and doesn’t look like she’s going to anytime soon.
