Teairra Mari Pleads Guilty to DWI But Won’t Get Jail Time

Teairra Mari pleaded guilty to a misdemeanor DWI charge that she received over the summer, which came after she was pulled over in New York City. And if all of the conditions are followed, she’ll be able to avoid jail time.

“The Love & Hip-Hop: Hollywood” star was pulled over in her 2014 Dodge Charger on June 22 after she exited the Midtown Tunnel in Queens. She was driving without her right front tire at the time, and police spotted her after seeing sparks shoot out.

It was also reported that Mari smelled of alcohol at the time, which could have resulted in a tacked-on felony charge because she also received a DWI conviction in 2011. In that incident, the singer was accused of rear-ending another vehicle while driving in Beverly Hills, California.

In the New York case, Mari pleaded guilty on Monday to one count of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence. She’ll now have to complete an impaired driver program, according to TMZ, as well as sit through a victim impact panel. In fact, she’ll have to take several DWI courses under the court order.

Plus, Mari will have to put in a breath alcohol ignition interlock device in her car for a year, and her license will be suspended for the next six months. If she fails to follow any of the conditions, she could land in jail for up to a year.

The Detroit native hasn’t posted anything about the guilty plea to Instagram or Twitter, but 50 Cent has.

The two have been beefing ever since Mari sued the rapper in May 2018 after he posted a screenshot of her in a sexually explicit video. The judge later threw out the case and ordered Mari to pay 50 $30,618 in legal fees, which he’s been hounding her for ever since.

“Smh 🤦‍♂️looking like the old drink lady from up the block. @lisabloomesq there goes your me too movement why are you so quiet b-tch!” wrote 50 on Tuesday. He also tagged Mari’s former attorney Lisa Bloom.
