While Dave Chappelle‘s new Netflix special has gained attention for his jokes concerning Michael Jackson’s accusers, “The Real Housewives of Potomac” fans are buzzing after spotting star Gizelle Bryant taking in the show in the audience right next to her ex-husband Jamal Bryant.
Chappelle’s special, “Sticks and Stones,” debuted on the streaming service August 26 and stealthy “RHOP” fans who have watched it caught Bryant and her pastor ex sitting in the front row of the show at the 6:08-minute mark.
After catching the couple reuniting, fans began to speculate about why the pair caught the stand-up act together.
“I wonder if this will be her storyline for next season.”
“Well word around Potomac is they have been trying to reconcile things and get back together.”
“They can just be cool lol. They do have 3 kids and were married.”
“Thats her ex husband and childrens dad. He was on the first season and they are friends. 🤷🏽♀️”
“They’re always together though. This ain’t new. They always do stuff together.”
Gizelle, who stars on the Potomac, Maryland-based reality show, was married to Pastor Bryant for eight years before his infidelity tore them apart. During their marriage, the couple had three daughters and recently reunited to see off the oldest one, Grace, on her first day of high school.
“Excited & Proud! Grace is officially a HIGH SCHOOLER,” Gizelle wrote in her caption of the photo op with her, her ex-spouse and their daughter. “I’m happy but sad, so many emotions.😀😢 Being a Mother is an AMAZING ride and I’m so grateful and blessed to be on this roller coaster. Praying that she has a SPECTACULAR 4 years 😊🙏🏽”
And that’s not the first time the exes have been seen with each other since splitting up. Back in March, Gizelle and her daughters were present when Jamal was named the new pastor of New Birth Missionary Baptist Church in the eastern Atlanta suburb of Lithonia, Georgia.
Explaining her relationship with her ex on “Watch What Happens Live” in May, Gizelle made it seem as if she wouldn’t rule out rekindling a romance with Jamal.
“We’re very close. We have a great relationship,” she said at the time. “You know, we’re great. But we’re not officially back together or anything like that, but we are great friends.”
Jamal has also addressed his relationship with his former wife in recent years. When he visited “Sister Circle,” he explained how they managed to co-parent while residing in separate states.
“We’re still family,” he shared on the show last September. “So having to navigate that is not any space for the children to play one against another.”
