‘Shawty Wishes’: Cyn Santana’s Photo Goes Left When Fans Bring Up Joe Budden’s Pool Party

It seems “Love and Hip Hop: New York” exes Cyn Santana and Joe Budden have officially broken up, although fans can’t let go of the idea of them being together.

Santana and Budden never publicly addressed their split, but social media knew they were over for good when a video of the “Dumb Out” rapper getting twerked on by some random woman at his mansion pool party surfaced over the weekend.

Coincidentally, Budden’s now ex-fiancée Santana, posted a sexy fashion photo of herself to Instagram on the same day of his bash. The image showed her sporting a green camo dress, yellow aviator sunglasses and large hoop earrings while posing on her couch in a crouching position.

Slightly smirking in her photo and clearly feeling herself, Santana wrote in her caption on Saturday, “Hey ma, wassup? 😻🌹”

Fans, however, skidded past the mother of one’s “bomb” looks and questioned her obvious absent appearance at Budden’s recent bash.

“Shawty wishes she was at Joes pool party 😂”

“Why you ain’t go? No invite to Joe’s pool party?”

“Yo beautiful you’re missing the pool party”

“So your not going to the pool party then 🤔”

Santana, however, didn’t address the online trolls on her post.

The model’s recent post was not only shared on the same day of her ex-lover’s pool party, but also a few weeks after Budden posted about how much he was missing his son, sparking rumors that the new mother was keeping the child from him. The pair welcomed a son, Lexington Budden, back in 2017.

“I miss my son so much…. gotta go thru it tho… again,” he tweeted.

Santana faced backlash for Budden’s insinuations but quickly addressed it in a statement, writing, “Lol y’all think I give a damn about what complete strangers with ZERO information have to say about me as it pertains to my son? Y’all don’t know a SINGLE thing about anything. I’ve kept it like that on purpose sis. Y’all stay blessed and protected tho.”

In early May, it was reported that Santana, 26 and Budden, 38, called off their engagement after rumors of infidelity surrounded the rapper. Seemingly confirming the hearsay, Santana deleted all traces of the “Pump It Up” rapper from her social media and posted photos of herself no longer wearing her engagement ring.

Democracy needs journalism it can trust.

This election season, the stakes are higher than usual — and so is the pressure on newsrooms to soften their coverage, stay quiet, or just disappear. Independent reporting, the kind that answers to readers instead of advertisers or political pressure, matters more in a moment like this, not less.

For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed independent and reader-funded. We have no corporate owner and no shareholders telling us what to cover or how to cover it. That independence is also our biggest vulnerability: nothing protects it except readers choosing to fund it directly.

Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under in a moment like this, it's rarely the independent, reader-funded ones that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
