Nene Leakes’ giddiness about her transformed wig looks hit a snag Wednesday when fans decided they were not feeling her new hair.
“OMG you guys…my Wig game has totally changed! Thanks to this new wig company called @colormanewigs that hasn’t even launched yet. …..All your stylist gotta do is put that bad boy on ya. They are launching Labor Day weekend. I’m just glad i got a chance to try them before the crazy rush,” Leakes excitedly wrote in part.
But while “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star was thrilled about her new, lighter and longer look, her fans felt it made her resemble her foe Kim Zolciak-Biermann.
“it looks good, but Kim Z always says you copy everything she has & now you have the same hair too 🤷🏼♀️”
“Looks like Kim Zolciack 😩 no hating. You look good NeNe 💯”
“Wow never thought I’d see the day with Nene wearing Kim Zolciak wigs🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣”
“My first thought was Kim!!🤣🤣🤣 No nene pick a different style!! ❤️Ya!!”
“Kim Z did say you were trying hard to look like her. At the time I didn’t see it but yea…..”
“What in the mr. potato head Nose and kim Zolciak wig is going on here 😂😂😂 and Hell nah you are not spanish don’t disrespect us like that 🤔👏🤷♀️🙄.”
It was the last remark that led Leakes to hit back at one of her followers.
“You mad? Cry me a river b—hhhhhhh,” Leakes replied.
While Leakes hasn’t been seen with Zolciak in a while, it seems the pair’s past issues may have been put to rest. Back in May when Leakes attended the Kentucky Derby, a photo of her in a classic derby hat that she shared on Twitter captured Zolciak’s attention. She liked the tweet, leading fans to believe it was a phony interaction.
“Because she on the outs with everyone else so she goes back to old faithful.”
“Righttt. When nene realizes all the other doors are closed right…”
That came nearly a year after Zolciak wished Leakes and her husband Gregg Leakes well as he battled colon cancer.
Before they made up, however, the two have clashed throughout the seasons of “RHOA.” One of the last major blows came when Zolciak’s oldest daughter, Brielle, recorded a roach that was supposedly crawling in Leakes’ basement. As a result, Leakes tore into Brielle and her mother on Instagram and called them “racists.” Zolciak stepped in to take up for her family and downplayed Leakes’ claims of racism.
