A post that Nene Leakes shared of her hanging with best friend Marlo Hampton was quickly turned to focus on her renewed friendship with Tanya Sam, and not all the responses were positive.
It all happened when Leakes uploaded a set of pictures with Hampton, a longtime friend of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star and guest of the show.
“The turn up is ALWAYS real when me and my ♠️ link,” Leakes wrote of the quality ladies time.
However, once Sam chimed in with a set of dancing women emoji, fans’ eyebrows began to rise after Leakes responded with affection.
“Love you ❤️ ” Leakes replied.
Initially, some fans responded with joy over a confirmation that Leakes and Sam had remained on good terms after the O.G. “RHOA” star fell out with nearly all of her co-stars at the season 11 reunion in March.

But others remained skeptical and recalled how rude Leakes was to Sam last season, which saw her say she doesn’t “give a f–k” that her remark about Sam possibly not marrying her longtime fiancé Paul Judge hurt her.

“She treated Tanya so bad on the show this is weird as hell.”
“Ohhh we’ve made up with coworker/friend?!”
“She need someone to film with 😳”
“Chile..she realized she ain’t have no friends after last season!! Nah she kissing ass! I cant.”
Sam was one of several people Leakes unfollowed on Instagram in the aftermath of last season’s reunion, which saw the star keeping up her defenses as she went toe-to-toe with the likes of Sam, Cynthia Bailey, Porsha Williams, Kandi Burruss and Eva Marcille.
However, more recently, Leakes has been showing signs that the strife has settled. This summer Leakes went to lunch with Burruss and Sam, both meals of which seem to have been filmed for “RHOA.”
Burruss has also confirmed Leakes is beginning to bury the hatchet with her co-stars.
“NeNe is trying to work on some relationships in the group,” Burruss told Hollywood Life after confirming she herself is “getting along with” Leakes now. “We’ll see how it goes. She’s putting forth effort but everybody has to meet each other halfway.”
