Celebrity Instagram accounts and photo editing go hand-in-hand nowadays, and sometimes using the tools can get the best of the users, something Mariah Huq recently learned.
However, the “Married to Medicine” star took it all in stride and cleverly hit back at a fan who pointed out her apparent photo editing fail.
Huq shared a photo to her Instagram account Wednesday from her trip to Oranjestad, Aruba. The executive producer of “M2M” struck a pose by wrapping one arm around the pole and placing her hand on her hip.
“Helloooo #Aruba! Let’s see what’s ya got! #BonBini #MashiDanki #lastnight,” the reality star captioned the Aug. 14 post.
However, several fans soon noticed that the pole was mysteriously slanted, a tell-tale sign that photo editing was at work to make Huq’s waist appear slimmer.
“slanted pole alert sis 🚨”
“You look great as is! No need in photoshop! We can clearly tell you photoshop this pic, the pole has a curve 😩”
“The pole is slanted sis 😂😂😂😂😂😂”
“@iluvmariah your married to a doctor stop photoshopping your pics and get the work done beautiful.”
“Delete the pole is slanted…”
The last comment prompted a response from Huq embracing the editing snafu.
“@marcela_ahmad the pole is a hater sis,” the wife of Dr. Aydin Huq replied.
Huq’s reply led fans to burst out laughing.
“@iluvmariah 😂😅🤣 I love you you’re hilarious!!”
“@iluvmariah lmao this reply”
“Lmfao I love Mariah”
“Mariah funny asf😂”
“Ahaha haters yessss👏”
While Huq was able to recover from this particular photo editing incident, the same can’t quite be said for the promo pic that Bravo recently unveiled for the upcoming season of “Married to Medicine.”
Many fans remarked that the cast — Huq, Dr. Simone Whitmore, Dr. Heavenly Kimes, Dr. Contessa Metcalfe, Quad Webb-Lunceford, Toya Bush-Harris and Dr. Jacqueline Walters — looked off, based on someone getting a little too carried away with photo editing software.
“Something is off with this photo…too much Photoshop or something. Bodies/heads look disproportionate.”
“What happened to Toya nose? Is this Too much edit?”
It particularly seemed to get the best of Webb-Lunceford, whom many mocked over the wig she sported.
“Quad bay bee. Where is the edges at. Look like a fitted hat.”
“What’s going on with Quads frontal 🤦🏾♀️”
Webb-Lunceford clapped back, too, saying “Watch What Happens Live” host Andy Cohen’s dog Wacha must have been the one responsible for the mishap. By the next week, however, it appeared Bravo righted the wrong they did to Ms. Quad’s hairline and issued a new photo.
