‘Yeah, OK’: Kandi Burruss Singled Out for Rocking Full Hair and Makeup During Supposed Workout Session

A picture of an old workout session has fans questioning Kandi Burruss.

“The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star uploaded a photo of her on an exercise bike in her daughter Riley Burruss’ apartment complex. The pic, which sees Riley peeking around behind her, was snapped while Burruss visited her 16-year-old in New York last month.

“Going through my pics & just saw this pic of @rileyburruss & I working out at the @oriananyc when she was staying there for the summer. I loved their gym! I need to get back into my workout flow. It’s so hard!… 😩” Burruss admitted in the caption.

While several fans chimed in to share their diet and fitness efforts, others took notice of the “RHOA” star’s perfectly styled hair and a full face of makeup β€” including a red lip β€” in the July photo.

“Who works out in a full face of make up?πŸ˜‚”

“Yeah ok… Who really works out with a full face and weave LMAO ppl just lie.”

“@cstarksgo I was thinking the sAme thing! Stop it Kandi 🀣,” another fan replied.

“Working out? πŸ‘€πŸ™„ If full hair and make upπŸ€·πŸΌβ€β™€οΈ”

“So you all workout in makeup”

“You weren’t working out with that hairπŸ”₯”

“I don’t see no sweat you just sitting there looking pretty.”

Burruss has been open in the past about her enjoyment of indulging in food over her desire to hit the gym. Still, there have been times where the 43-year-old has longed for her old figure.

When the Xscape singer posted a throwback pic of herself from the aughts wearing a silver bikini top and chiseled abs in January, the star admitted she had an envious figure.

β€œTBT: When your girl had them abs popping!” the singer wrote in the caption.

And even though her abs aren’t exactly as muscled now, a more recent photo from her anniversary trip to Thailand with hubby Todd Tucker in April saw how slim Burruss can get in the present.

Fans definitely took notice and let it be known in the comments they left.

β€œKandi, can I have your body SHEESH.”

β€œ@kandi yass that body is banging πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ˜πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ»πŸ™ŒπŸ» can’t wait to see you at the dungeon in Cleveland πŸ₯°πŸ₯°β€

β€œDamn Kandi you look great! πŸ’― πŸ”₯πŸ”₯ I just want to cut my stomach off!!!!! Will you ever think about giving charity for tummy tucks cause I just can’t afford it! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ€·πŸ½β€β™€οΈπŸ’― Maybe I can work for you free – being an assistant or something – paying you back! You look great…..and I’m really looking at your snatched body! πŸ˜‚πŸ’―πŸ’―πŸ’―β€

Independent journalism still matters.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
