‘She Was Ready to Shoot!’: Porsha Williams’ Rumored Ex-Fiance Dennis McKinley Claims He was Racially Profiled, Handcuffed, Accused of Stealing

Dennis McKinley, the father of “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star Porsha Williams only child, claimed he was placed in handcuffs by police on Friday, July 26, for allegedly stealing a $4.00 sandwich.

The 39-year-old detailed the incident in a lengthy Instagram post shared to his page Saturday morning and claimed the fracas happened at Emory Healthcare in Atlanta, GA during a routine doctor’s visit.

“Yesterday I was accosted by a super aggressive Emory police officer #BethWalsh badge #215 who racially profiled me and falsely accused me of stealing a $4 sandwich,” McKinley said, followed by a chain of videos and photos ostensibly showing what transpired.

One video apparently showed the “Queen Virgin Remy” owner sitting inside of the hospital’s cafeteria with his arms seemingly handcuffed behind his back while talking to a female officer who he accused of racial profiling him and abusing her power.

“She chose aggression over common sense,” he said. “She put her hands on her weapon, she put her hands on me, she publicly humiliated me, falsely and wrongfully accused me of stealing a sandwich and placed me in handcuffs so tight that she caused injuries to both of my wrists.”

McKinley claimed he had a receipt “which could have easily ended her inquiry.” He also claimed the female officer was standing in line when he bought his sandwich and could’ve easily verified with the cashier that he paid. However, in the video, the Emory police is heard telling the star that he “escalated” the situation. It’s unclear as to who was recording the incident at the time.

The new father said after the commotion was over, the female officer didn’t apologized and allegedly blamed him “for the entire situation.” He called it “disgusting” and added that he could “have been the next hashtag because she was that aggressive.”

“She was ready to shoot me!” he wrote underneath his post, adding photos of his apparent bruised wrists.

McKinley added in the comments that Emory Police refused to let him file a formal complaint and has retained counsel with Eva Marcille’s husband, Mike Sterling.

Emory Healthcare has yet to release a statement addressing the incident.

Social media shared a mass of reactions to McKinley’s claims.

“Glad you’re ok bro 😔. Handle it legally, it’ll hit them harder. Even when they know they’re wrong, they provoke to get a reaction.”

“This is inhumane & has to stop! Let God lead you while fighting for justice 🙏 Thankfully it didn’t end worse.”

“I’m sorry this happened to you but something doesn’t add up. Why would she just randomly accuse him of cheating. IDK something smells fishy.”

“Wow! She needs to be fired and put in jail! Sick of them mistreating us and abusing their power…all that over a $4 sandwich…🤬.”

McKinley’s rumored ex-fiancee Williams, has yet to comment on the matter. The couple are said to be facing trouble in paradise. They however share a beautiful baby girl together, 4-month-old Pilar Jhena, who they welcomed together in March.

Yesterday I was accosted by a super aggressive Emory police officer #BethWalsh badge #215 who racially profiled me and falsely accused me of stealing a $4 sandwich. I had a receipt which could have easily ended her inquiry. There was a cashier that could have easily verified that I paid for everything I had. There were a number of easy resolutions that could have deescalated the unnecessary racial profiling and my detention by this officer. Instead, this Emory police officer chose to abuse her power. She chose aggression over common sense. She put her hands on her weapon, she put her hands on me, she publicly humiliated me, falsely and wrongfully accused me of stealing a sandwich and placed me in handcuffs so tight that she caused injuries to both of my wrists. I was profiled. She was wrong. No apology. Just more vitriol – she blamed me for the entire situation. It was disgusting. I could have been the next hashtag because she was that aggressive. I went to see my doctor for a routine dr visit at @emoryhealthcare Emory hospital. Stopped to grab a sandwich. And this is what happened. It happens to us everywhere, at any time, for any reason. I can’t let this go. This is not ok. I’ve retained counsel @miketsterling and @dreyer_sterling_llc. Now, we can add going to the doctor or buying a sandwhich while black to the list of things we cannot do. @emoryuniversity @emoryhealthcare @emorypolice #goingtothedoctorwhileblack #buyingasandwhichwhileblack #racialprofiling #sallysandwich
