It looks like reality television veteran Moniece Slaughter will no longer be starring on “Love and Hip Hop: Hollywood.”
Last September, the 32-year-old celeb begged “LHH” executive producer Mona Scott-Young and other show bosses to be released from her contract, saying the show took a toll on her mental health. However, it seems the star’s contract has come to an end and she’s looking forward to making a clean break.
Slaughter appeared on season 9 of “LHHATL,” which confused some fans who thought she’d quit the franchise.
“@moniece_slaughter when is your contract up,” a fan asked the mother of of one Monday evening after she appeared on Atlanta’s reunion special.
Slaughter, the ex-girlfriend of B2K rapper Lil Fizz, responded, “After this season of Hollywood. I’m gone free 🙌.”
She also created an Instagram post on July 15 saying that she was officially quitting the “LHH” franchise.
“As I prepare to close out my journey on Love & Hip Hop Hollywood, I ask myself daily what I can do to make GOOD use of the platform outside the realm of monetary gain. … It’s been a wild ride. A long hard road to tow. But I wouldn’t change it for the world,” Slaughter said. “Thx you, your viewership has kept us alive! With this. I bid you farewell.”
Several fans sent the star well-wishes.
“Amen sis!!! peace with oneself is one of the highest form of truth 🙏🏾. Good luck on being released from your contract.”
“Ugh I will miss you you are my favorite, can’t wait to see what’s in store for your for the future 💖.”
Slaughter will be on season 6 of “LHHH,” which is slated to premiere on VH1 on August 5. She will be joined by co-stars K. Michelle, Apryl Jones, Lil Fizz, A1 Bentley, Lyrica Anderson, Ray J. Norwood, Princess Love and newcomer Micky Munday.
Other favorites such as Brooke Valentine, Marcus Black, Rocc Star, Teairra Mari and Safaree Samuels will apparently not be returning this season.
