‘She Tries Too Hard’; Fans Blast Angela Simmons for ‘Awkward’ Pose in Recent IG Photo

It seems not everyone is a fan of “Growing Up Hip Hop” star Angela Simmons‘ camera-ready stances.

The 31-year-old reality star showed off her modish fashion swag and fierce poses in a recent post that clearly didn’t sit well with fans. She posted a photo of herself standing on top of a building in Brooklyn, New York, which many fans recognized as the Bushwick neighborhood. Draped in all black, including a bodysuit, joggers and a jacket, Simmons posed with her hand on her hip, her buttocks to the camera all while looking over her left shoulder.

She wrote via Instagram, “🎵 Tell by my attitude that I’m most definitely….. from … New York 🎵.”

A few fans complimented the star on her beauty, while others called out her forced-seeming pose.

“I like Angela she’s beautiful but she has the most awkward poses 🤷,” one fan commented.

Another person chimed in and added, “They always look so forced and off. She tries too hard.”

“U good? 😕,” another fan wrote. “Why she standing like that?”

Judging by her recent activity, Simmons has been extremely focused on her career and less worried about the critics in her comments.

In April, We TV announced the network would be expanding its “GUHH” franchise by taking it to the Big Apple, and Simmons will of course be a part of the new cast. The series plans on shedding light on some of hip-hop’s most influential artists and their children.

The “GUHH” veteran, along with her brother Jo Jo Simmons and “GUHHATL” cast mate Lil Mama, will be a part of the show’s cast. New faces will include rapper Ja Rule and his children, Jeff Bruce Atkins Jr. and Brittney Atkins; “Murder Inc” magnate Irv Gotti and his children, Angie Pearson and Jonathan “JJ” Wilson Lorenzo; “Terror Squad” rapper Fat Joe and his son Ryan Cartagena; Da’Zyna, daughter of Public Enemy star Flavor Flav; as well as a few others.

The series is set to premiere sometime this summer on We TV.
