It seems “Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Brittney Taylor is facing a bit of legal trouble.
The television personality who claimed rapper Remy Ma attacked her at an event a few months ago, was arrested on Friday, June 14 for assault and aggravated harassment after an alleged physical altercation broke out inside of a Manhattan apartment, New York Daily News reported.
Taylor, 30, reportedly attacked a woman name Dina Khalil who happens to be a witness to her and Remy’s alleged fight that took place in April at Irving Plaza. Police claimed Khalil and the “LHHNY” actress got into a heated argument at the celeb’s luxury condo around 7 p.m. Friday evening.
Their apparent confrontation allegedly turned physical when Taylor reportedly followed Khalil into the condo lobby, scratched her and threw a cellphone at her face, the police said. Taylor was arrested on the scene and charged with assault.
She appeared before a judge late Friday night and was released on her own recognizance, a Manhattan clerk told the news source. She is expected to answer the charges in court July 8.
Taylor’s arrest follows months after she claims the “Conceited” rapper, socked her in the right eye at the “Pretty Lou Benefit Concert” April 16. Remy turned herself on May 1 and was charged with third-degree assault.
Taylor’s attorney, Sanford Rubenstein, said his client’s recent legal trouble won’t change their current legal action against Remy.
“The arrest of Brittney Taylor does not in any way change the facts of the assault of Brittney Taylor for which Remy Ma is being prosecuted by the Manhattan district attorney,” Rubenstein told Page Six.
Social media has had a field day with the “LHHNY” star’s recent arrest, deeming it her “karma” for the entire case with Remy Ma.
