“Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Papoose Mackie put his cast mate Joe Budden on full blast this week during a playful exchange on the ‘Gram.
Papoose, the husband of rap diva Remy Ma, stunted on social media Monday afternoon and posted a classic photo of himself rocking a fedora. He added in his caption, “Chilling like a villain spider man on the ceiling.”
Budden who’s known for sporting a fedora with all of his ensembles, commented on the “Black Love” rapper’s post and jokingly wrote, “Don’t try to get in your fedora bag now nigga 😂.”
Papoose shut his cast mate down in three sentences by referring to Budden’s recent split with supposed ex-fiancé Cyn Santana.
“Lol… I been doing these fool!” Papoose responded. “Actually wore one to my wedding in 2015. Speaking of weddings 🤔…”
Budden who apparently had no more clapbacks left in him, commented on an Instagram blog reporting on their exchange, writing, “It’s above me now 🤦🏽♂️.”
The “LHHNY” cast mates’ back-and-forth had fans in stitches.
“😂 They funny af papoose had time today for Joe!”
“Poor Joey 💀💀😭😩 Pap shaded tf out of him this is when #dagramgowrong.”
“I am dead asf 😂😂😂 bye Joe ‘It’s above me now omg’ 😭 lmao keep your mouth closed.”
“@joebudden wasn’t ready for that clap back 🤣 its above me now 🤣😂 #BarOfTheSummer.”
Papoose’s verbal shots at his cast mate follow Budden’s apparent private breakup with Santana some weeks ago.
The former couple got engaged in late December and just four months later they split for unknown reasons. The Hollywood Reporter claimed a source said the twosome had a huge falling-out.
“Cyn is no longer wearing her engagement ring and she has wiped Joe from her page, they have split. It just happened, he’s gone on tour right now and they had a blowout fight. It’s very fresh,” the supposed source told the news outlet.
Neither the 26-year-old model nor Budden has officially confirmed their breakup, but between the rapper’s tweeted “breakup diet” and his confirming that Santana moved out of their home, it’s safe to say the pair called it quits.
They do, however, share 1-year-old son Lexington Budden together and have seemingly managed to work out some sort of co-parenting relationship. The toddler has been spotted spending time with both his mother and father since news of the pair’s apparent breakup made headlines.
