It has just been announced that La La Anthony landed a new gig on an old show.
Deadline reports that she’ll will be joining the cast of “BH90210,” a sort of a reboot of the ’90s drama “Beverly Hills 90210.”
Most of the original cast members of the show will appear but not as their original characters. Instead, they’ll play “heightened versions” of themselves in a dramedy about putting the show back together.
Anthony will play Shay, the wife of Brian Austin Green’s character, David Silver, who’s a stay-at-home dad to their three kids, while she’s a famous hip-hop artist and the breadwinner.
Reports say Anthony’s character is comfortable in her role as a superstar entertainer but is still a regular person who’s down to earth.
Storylines from the series are supposed to be pulled from the cast’s real lives, and Green is married to actress Megan Fox, whom he has three sons with. The show will appear on the Fox network and is slated for six episodes.
Anthony shared a post about her new role Thursday on Instagram and said she couldn’t wait to begin.
“90210 IS BACK!! I’m honored to be joining the cast of 90210‼️” she wrote. “It’s gonna be crazy! Excited to play the wife of the original Beverly Hills 90210 star Brian Austin Green👰🏽🤵🏼Let’s gooooo!!🚨🚨”
“Yes!!! I can’t wait to see you on my old favorite show!” someone wrote in the comments underneath.
“Don’t make me do cartwheels @lala !!!!!!!!!! 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾,” another person stated.
The “Power” actress is also set to play in an upcoming Starz series called “Intercepted,” which she’ll also executive produce. The show will be developed by 50 Cent‘s company G-Unit Films and Television, and it’ll be based on the book of the same name, written by Alexa Martin.
“BH90210” will premiere on August 7.
