‘You Don’t Have to Be Naked’: Ciara Bares All Ahead of Album Release, Trolls Promptly Slam Her

As she celebrates the release of her new album, Ciara shared a new picture to her Instagram account that has caused a commotion among her fans.

On the social media site late Thursday, singer posted a photo posing in nothing but a super-long, thick ponytail and high-top Nike sneakers.

“Baring It All On #BeautyMarks. Album out in 1 hour 💃🏽❤️” Ciara captioned the post, which was made in conjunction with her album that contains empowering anthems that flip perceived flaws into strengths.

Trolls, however, latched onto the fact that she was nude and scolded Ciara for it.

“You are someone’s wife and mother?”

“I think you be doing too much as married women.”

“@tyrastone For real I would be embarrassed if I was her husband. Whole team seen his wife pretty much naked. It’s disrespectful. Even if he’s not complaining no man is comfortable with that.”

“I like you but Why you gotta be naked?Im sure your kids must be so proud🤦🏽‍♀️”

“Abomination 🙈”

“Love You Ciara, just not sure what you’re selling. You don’t have to be naked to sell your music and as a married woman and a woman of God. It’s just not necessary.”

Still, fans jumped in to stick up for the star, who shares a daughter and rapper Future’s son with Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson.

“Yall quit bothering cc if Russell aint got a problem we shouldn’t have one. Two kids in that body snatched to the gods get it boo❤️❤️”

“@shantedolley y’all disgusting 🙄 what does this woman kids has to do with you seeing skin and Nike’s….”

“It’s symbolic…she’s saying she’s showing you everything on this album. I see not a cooch or nipple…it’s art. Let her be. Models, which she is…do this all the time. I don’t see you messaging them and telling them to put clothes on. Stop casting stones when y’all probably do way more.”

Ciara has explained her album is all about inspiring listeners and making them dance, with her even opting not to include many down-tempo songs on the release.

The singer sat down to promote the 11-track LP on “On Air with Ryan Seacrest” earlier this week and stated “Beauty Marks” was recorded at a time when she was establishing her own label, entertainment company and management company.

“My ultimate goal with this project is to inspire the world to inject love and make the world dance,” Ciara said. “There’s a song for every mood. … It’s just a lot of good energy. I’m so proud of this album. It reminds me of when I made my first album ‘Goodies.’ I had no inhibitions in the creative process. I was just free and lost and I let myself go in the process when I was younger.”
