‘Culture Needs U’: Diddy’s Latest Announcement Met with Concern for His Well-Being

The last several months could be considered heartbreaking for Sean “Diddy” Combs, because in October he split with his longtime girlfriend Cassie, and just one month later the mother of his three children Kim Porter passed away.

So his fans think it’s totally understandable that he decided to back away for a bit, which is something the rap mogul conveyed in a May 2 Instagram post.

“OFF THE GRID,” Combs posted in big, bold white letters, and his fans responded immediately. Some also showed concern for his well-being.

“Take it easy PD!!!🙏🏾🙏🏾 Culture need u man we loosing too many greats,” one fan wrote.

“Take all the time you need,” someone else commented.

“We love you praying for you mental and spirit,” another person relayed. “Relax reset recharge. Love you puff 🖤 God is in control.”

And a fourth person told Combs that he “Gotta take some time away” and wrote “Treat your mental right 🙏🏾.”

There were also a lot of folks who told the Bad Boy founder that he reminded them to take some time off, and they thanked him for the inspiration.

“Sending light love and peace your way,” one person commented. “Keep motivating and inspiring us sir. We’re following your lead.”

Combs didn’t specify if “off the grid” meant a slight break from social media, taking a sabbatical from business or both.

It could mean that Combs is carving some time out for family, because in a recent interview the 49-year-old said he “jumped into mommy mode” when Porter died.

On Saturday the “Victory” rapper posted a photo of his children, which could be another sign that he has family on the mind. And people had a big reaction to that post as well.
