Cynthia Bailey confidently announced in a recent interview that she and boyfriend Mike Hill will be heading down the aisle next year. And despite there not being any signs of a proposal, it seems “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” star has already begun shopping for a wedding dress.
The model posted a glimpse of some gowns she was eyeing on her Instagram Story Monday afternoon as she visited Formally Yours bridal shop in Lilburn, Georgia, a suburb of Atlanta.
“So many dresses, so little time 💋” Bailey wrote in a caption over an image of a dress. She also tagged her Fox Sports 1 newscaster beau along with the bridal shop.
Several fans were excited about the development, which Bailey’s caption indicated may be coming sooner than the star’s followers may realize.
“Good for her she deserves it.”
“Cynthia will look da bomb in whatever she decides to wear..mike is one lucky guy and I’m sure he is terrific for Bailey to do it again…😁”
“I’m so happy for her😍😍😍”
The move took many fans by surprise, however. Several expressed confusion over the lack of an engagement ring on Bailey’s finger.
“where’s the ring at?”
“She’s looking for dresses before he looks for a ring … Jesus take the wheel and drive fast.”
“Shopping for a dress before the ring? Putting the Cart before the horse as my mom would say. #CHill Cynthia it’s going to happen. Do things in the right order.”
Bailey was asked about her plans to marry Hill on “The Real” last month. The star, who has said time and time again that she’d be willing to jump the broom with her man, made it clear she’s ready to make things official.
“I want to marry this man, I love this man,” she said. “We have time. When Mike is ready and when God is ready that’s when we’ll get married. However, however, however! I do predict that Mike and God will be ready sometime next year.
“We talk about it all the time,” she added after Hill nodded in agreement with her wedding plans from the audience. “I’ve been married before, Mike’s been married before. We have kids already, so it’s no marathon. We’re enjoying the process.”
