Peter Thomas’ recent photo with his girlfriend has drummed up comparisons to his ex-wife Cynthia Bailey, and his fans are not having it.
On Wednesday, April 17, Thomas posted a pic alongside Toni Scott, whom he’s been dating since 2017, when he and Bailey divorced.
“Good Morning: @iloveyoutoni keeping me right, @sportsoneclt @baronemiamibeach @cluboneclt ❤️❤️❤️ her,” Thomas captioned the photo, which was snapped at Miami Beach.
Several fans gave the couple praise.
“She’s beautiful an you guys looks great together!!”
“You keep a pretty woman 😘”
“Happy 4 you. She is beautiful.”
But others began comparing Scott to Thomas’ “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” ex-wife.
“She will never compare or even compete with Cynthia and that’s FACTS sorry Peter try again.”

Fans then jumped in to defend Thomas’ new love.

Thomas and Bailey split in 2016, and their divorce became final the next year. The Charlotte, North Carolina-based businessman maintainedhis model ex was not supportive of his efforts and that’s what caused their union to fail.
“If you don’t believe in what I do for a living, you don’t believe in me. And basically, that was the demise of our marriage,” he said on Charlotte’s Power98 in December 2016.
Bailey, however, rebutted that and told Bravo’s Daily Dish she “wholeheartedly supported his business ventures” but she “had just reached my personal breaking point.”
Currently, the two have a cordial relationship, with Bailey telling “Watch What Happens Live” in March she spoke to her ex weeks before he was arrested for alleged check fraud. However, during a visit to the late night talk show last week, Bailey admitted Thomas likely would not be invited to her wedding to her current beau, Fox Sports 1 newscaster Mike Hill, whom she hopes to marry next year.
