Keyshia Ka’Oir and rapper Gucci Mane‘s love story is still being written, but every now and then the couple reminisces on when they first met.
Ka’Oir makes it no secret that she’s head over heels in love with her husband, and when folks suggested she leave him years ago after being jailed she stayed by his side.
In past interviews, she’s admitted that she was initially hesitant about going on a date with the “Freaky Girl” rapper in 2010 after they first met on the set of his rap video “911 Emergency.” But to her surprise the rapper was a complete gentleman, and there was one thing in particular that stood out to her.
“He always opens the door for me!” Ka’Oir told fans on Monday, along with an Instagram photo of him opening the car door for her.
“When we went our 1st date that’s what stood out to me the most! Didn’t expect it cause he was such a gangsta with his pistol in his waist! He always remained a gentleman no matter how hard he was! My hubby ❤️,” she said.
The celeb’s sweet post about her husband triggered a slew of fan responses.

The “Ka’Oir Cosmetics” owner said her husband swept her off her feet when they began dating, telling the New York Post in October 2017 that she wasn’t expecting him to be such a gentleman.
“I think it was love at first sight,” Ka’Oir said. “He was nothing like I expected him to be. I was charmed and confused at the same time. I was expecting that straight gangsta hood s–t, and it was none of that.”
A few years later in 2016, the pair were engaged. Gucci proposed to his wife at an Atlanta Hawks game with a $500,000, 25-carat diamond ring. Of course she said yes, and they tied the knot in October 2017, with their ceremony broadcast on their BET reality show series “The Mane Event.”
The couple celebrated their first anniversary last year with pictures from their wedding day. Ka’Oir thanked her husband for his unconditional love in a sweet Instagram message.
“Happy Anniversary my amazinggggg husband @laflare1017,” she wrote. “Although we were already married, 10/17 is a very special day for us! Your love is so unique & we’ve grown so much together! U loved me with a love that was more than love! As we celebrate 8years together, we celebrate our milestones with so many memories! I Love u soooooooosooooo much my LIFE partner.”
