“Real Housewives” star Porsha Williams and fiancé Dennis McKinley have got their hands full with a new baby, but things seem to be fallings perfectly into place as the first-time parents begin their new lives together.
The road to parenthood wasn’t without a few a bumps, however.
In a teaser for Williams’ upcoming TV special “Porsha’s Having a Baby,” the couple anxiously prepares for the birth of their daughter Pilar Jhena, a.k.a “PJ.” The “Real Housewives of Atlanta” star parties it up at her baby shower with family and friends and McKinley can’t help but gush over his fiancee’s growing belly.
“We’re definitely soul mates,” Williams, 34, says of her man. “[But] we have little things we have to work out.”
One of those things happens to be their living arrangements. The couple seems stuck on whether they should move, a decision Williams is against. So for the time being, McKinley is shacking up with her.
“My entire life is in the basement of Porsha’s house,” he says in the clip.
Living together has proved to be testy for their relationship, so much so, that Williams has apparently asked her man to pay rent.
“You’ve got to stop with this ‘your house’ stuff, stop that,” she tells McKinley.
He shoots back: “You can’t tell me it’s my crib [too] but then try to hit me with a rental agreement.”
Earlier this month, Williams revealed that she and McKinley had pumped the breaks on their wedding plans until after the birth of their baby girl. When asked if they’d gotten things rolling on prenuptial negotiations, the reality star said things got a bit tense and she had to back out.
“We started it and it — and it got hot,” Williams said at the reunion. “That’s when I made the decision to say, ‘You know what? Let’s enjoy this moment first.’”
Despite their ups and downs, Williams and McKinley seem to have this parenting thing down pat now that baby PJ is here. Next stop is the altar.
The spin-off RHOA special is set to air Sunday, April 28, one week after the final installment of the show’s Season 11 reunion.
