There’s a few things in life you can definitely count on: The IRS coming to collect their dough each April, and 50 Cent dissing Ja Rule in some sort of way.
His latest dig at the Murder Inc. artist came after news surfaced that he has a massive tax debt.
Because according to reports, the IRS slapped a lien on Rule for $443,442 in back taxes from the money he made in March 2016. Then on March 4 the IRS updated a separate tax lien from funds he owed from 2005 through 2008. Rule’s wife Aisha is also listed on both liens.
This isn’t the first time the gruff voiced rapper has been in trouble with Uncle Sam. In 2011 he was sentenced to 28 months in prison for tax evasion, and at the time he admitted to not filing his taxes for five years. That particular sentence ran concurrently with an illegal gun charge that Rule pleaded guilty to in 2010.
Of course, 50 decided to poke fun at Rule’s tax problems since they’ve been beefing since the early aughts.
“Lol. Come on,” he wrote on Tuesday next to a news clip of Rule owing the money. “I know he not that bright but damn.”
After the post, 50’s followers gave him a helping hand at taunting Rule and making light of his tax situation.
Many also brought up the infamous Fyre Festival that Rule helped organize with Billy McFarland, who’s now serving six years in federal prison for bilking people out of $27 million with various scams.
Of course, the Fyre Festival turned out to be an epic failure, once people arrived to not enough food, power or accommodations.
“First fyre festival and now this?” someone wrote about Rule’s tax issue.
“Where’s all the FYRE money?” another person asked.
“How about you pay it for him instead of trying to bring him down help a n—- up 💯,” a third person suggested to 50.
