If you were planning to watch “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle” to get some answers on why Monica filed for divorce from former NBA player Shannon Brown, you won’t get any.
Because TMZ reports the R&B singer is refusing to talk about the divorce on the reality series, which is a major problem for producers. In fact, it’s been said that Monica won’t even say Brown’s name on the show, so it’s been a challenge to create a gripping story line for her.
And while the trailer shows Monica saying she can’t believe that she’s a single mother at age 38, she doesn’t address the split any further than that.
Monica and Brown wed in November of 2010 and while there were rumors in the past about them splitting, they always shot them down by sharing couple photos on social media.
But many fans suspected something was awry in March of this year when the singer was seen in a photo without her wedding ring. She also posted a picture on March 2 where she thanked her supporters and children but not her husband.
And one day before that in an Instagram post, Brown wrote “Loyalty and love are soulmates. Can’t have one without the other… It’s funny how we can look at the same thing and see it so different.”
Later that month, news broke that Monica filed for divorce, which sent social media into a frenzy.
While she hasn’t addressed the news publicly, on Sunday, April 14 and Monday April 15, Monica posted themed photos of herself on Instagram in a simulated orange prison jumpsuit and wrote “FCDC41519 TODAY,” revealing that her music video for her new song “Commitment” was out today.
Monica may be mum about her divorce on “T.I. & Tiny: Friends & Family Hustle,” but it’s a possibility that fans may hear about it through her music.
