After longtime rumors of infidelity, word has it that Wendy Williams and her husband Kevin Hunter are considering a separation.
Page Six reports the couple, who’ve been married for 22 years, are trying to determine how a separation would work and what it would entail. That’s because they’re partners in Wendy Williams Productions, which produces her talk show that’s been on the air since 2008.
Hunter is also Williams’ manager, which also complicates things. Plus, they co-founded The Hunter Foundation, a nonprofit that helps people struggling with addiction attend rehab.
The news of the separation comes on the heels of a report that Hunter’s rumored mistress of 10 years, Sharina Hudson, gave birth to his baby last week. And before that, Williams revealed that she’s been living in a sober facility for addiction.
There was also a report about the 54-yearold having a relapse when she heard about Hudson’s newborn.
“There is a discussion about what happens now,” an unnamed source told Page Six. “Everyone is asking ‘How can they possibly stay together?’ Wendy still loves Kevin, but her health is at stake. They are so tangled up together in business, so they are carefully looking at what a separation could entail. It will be difficult.”
Williams’ longtime friend Paul Porter recently spoke to Entertainment Tonight and said he hopes Williams leaves Hunter but understands how difficult it is.
“I know Wendy loves her husband. They built an empire together,” he stated last week. “Kevin’s blessed. He never finished the ninth grade, and they built tens of millions of dollars together. I pray and I hope and I know it’s in her soul to move on.”
Amid all the cheating and baby rumors, Williams and Hunter were spotted together on Wednesday (March 27) in New York City, when the talk show host was seen wearing her wedding ring, which she was seen without last week.
Currently, the couple owns a multi-million dollar mansion in New Jersey and have an 18-year-old son named Kevin Hunter Jr.
