‘Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta’ Star Tokyo Vanity Shows Off Her New Boo Ahead of Season 8 Premiere

Love and Hip Hop: Atlanta” star Tokyo Vanity has a new bae and she’s letting the world know just how happy she is.

The 23-year-old ended season 7 on a rocky note with ex-boyfriend Tabius Tate, who she broke it off with, after he was allegedly cheating with his ex-girlfriend. Over the show’s hiatus, she was said to be dating aspiring rapper Ferrari, but fans noticed a few months later that the pair had stopped posting each other’s photos on social media.

Well it seems the “That’s My Best Friend” performer has moved on from Ferrari and welcomed a new man in her life who guys by the name Jayy. Fans don’t know much about him, but that he’s an aspiring rapper, has two children and appears to be a New Orleans native.

Vanity took to Instagram on March 18 with a video of her and Jayy seemingly at the bowling alley. The two were all smiles as Jayy extended his arms around Vanity and kisses her on the face. The “LHHATL” star wrote in her caption, “🤩 I don’t wanna hear it.”

Vanity’s mother who goes by “Momma X Tokyo” on Instagram, apparently took a liking to her daughter’s new beau after speaking to him on FaceTime a few times.

“Yall just too cute,” Momma Tokyo wrote underneath her daughter’s comments. “I don’t know nothing about cha son, but I got a good feeling about ya when we spoke on Facetime a few times and I think yur a nice guy. … Good wishes to Tok and Jayy! May God Bless yall.”

When a fan asked Vanity if she “like him,” the star replied back “love.”

During the last season of “LHHATL” the reality star found out her ex-boyfriend Tate had dinner with his ex-girlfriend while they were in a relationship. To make matters worst, he went on a date with Jamaican artist Spice, which led to a big blow-up between the two ladies. The pair appeared to have reconciled during the season finale, but revealed they were over for good during season 7 reunion.

There’s no word on what happened with Vanity and Ferrari, but she appears to be extremely happy with her new flame Jayy.

Still independent.

We hope this story was worth your time. For over 14 years, Atlanta Black Star has stayed Black-owned and independently run. We didn't get here by waiting on ad budgets that were never built to prioritize us. Our readers did that.

Corporate support for Black media has always been thin. Outlets like ours get roughly 1% of the $170 billion spent on U.S. advertising each year, and that margin is shrinking further as advertisers walk back the DEI-linked commitments they made in 2020. That's the backdrop. It's not why we're asking.

The wider picture isn't any steadier. Newspaper ad revenue has fallen more than 80% since 2005, and local newsrooms are closing at a rate of roughly two a week nationwide. When outlets go under, it's rarely the ones built to center a Black perspective from the ground up that get to stick around.

We know a request for support isn't why you came here. But without readers choosing to fund this work directly, the depth of reporting we can do at home and abroad shrinks along with everyone else's. If you're not in a position to give, that doesn't change how much we value you as a reader.

If you are able to, a recurring contribution does more for us than a single one-time gift, because it lets us plan the next investigation instead of just the next invoice. It takes about 30 seconds, no long form, no account. Thank you for continuing to support independent journalism and freedom of the press.
