Senator Cory Booker Gushes About His Relationship With Rosario Dawson on ‘Ellen’

One of the first times Sen. Cory Booker ever addressed the rumors that he and actress Rosario Dawson were an item was last month during an interview on “The Breakfast Club,” but he didn’t mention her name.

“I got a boo,” the New Jersey Democrat simply told the hosts.

But Booker, who’s running for president, said a lot more about his relationship when he appeared on “The Ellen DeGeneres Show” on Wednesday and confirmed that he and Dawson are dating. He also spoke very highly of her.

“She’s just an incredible human being,” he said. “She’s a deeply soulful person and has taught me a lot of lessons above love already — that sometimes you show the greatest strength when you make yourself vulnerable.

“She really has this nurturing spirit that’s made me more courageous, not just in the love that I project and want to see in our country, but even in our personal relationships to love more fearlessly,” added Booker. “So I’m very blessed to be with someone who makes me a better person.”

The senator’s interview comes nearly a week after Dawson spoke about how fond she is of him, and she used the word “love” in her description.

“He’s a wonderful human being,” Dawson told a TMZ reporter while she was at a Washington airport leaving a visit with Booker. “It’s good to spend some time together when we can. I am just grateful to be with someone that I respect and love and admire so much, who is so brilliant and kind and caring and loving.”

People seemed excited about the new union and already branded Booker and Dawson the new It couple.

“New power couple @corybooker and @rosariodawson 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿#2020,” someone wrote on Dawson’s Instagram page.

According to Page Six, the senator and actress have been dating since December 2018.
