Speaking of the 33-year-old mother of two, she recently graced the cover of InStyle Magazine for their upcoming April 2019 cover. In the issue, she opened up about her marriage with long-time husband Russell Wilson after ending her tumultuous relationship with rapper Future in 2014.
“If you want to get somewhere in life, you’ve got to have a compass. You’ve got to know where you really want to get to,” the singer said. “And my heart, soul, spirit, and mind just desired to be loved. To be truly loved the right way. I knew I didn’t want to cry tears of hurt anymore.”
She continued saying that Wilson who she tied the knot with in 2016, was her “safe” haven.
“He’s my sounding board for pretty much everything I do in my life,” she said. “He doesn’t want to see me fail. He’s got my back. That’s an awesome feeling.”
The couple share 1-year-old daughter Sienna Wilson and 4-year-old Future Zahir from her previous relationship with Future.
