‘Issa Set Up’: Fans Quickly Flip the Script on Angela Simmons After She Shares Encouraging Message

Growing Up Hip Hop” star Angela Simmons seemingly teased fans who desire to see her and cast-mate Romeo Miller together.

Both “GUHH” stars have admitted to having feelings for one another in the past, but have yet to act on them. However, on Monday, March 11, Simmons shared a video of herself encouraging fans to “shoot” their “shot” for the year of 2019.

“Shoot your shot!!! Today is Monday ! Go for it ! Whatever it is you want to do … Do it,” the 31-year-old wrote on Instagram. “There’s no time like the present …. make the most out of your time here . Go for it 💪🏽.”

She added in the video, “Sometimes we wait a long time to go after something we really want to do… Today is that day . … It’s time to get up, get to it.”

Although Simmons ostensibly urged folks to go after their dreams, fans took it as a way to possibly play matchmaker between her and Miller.

“@romeomiller She said shoot your shot bro 😂,” one person commented, tagging the former child star. “We’re waiting for yall to make it happen!”

“Think you should give Romeo that shot he’s been waiting for I see the chemistry ✊🏽 , take that chance!” a second fan urged.

“Subliminal!!!! Shoot your shot and stop playing with @romeomiller,” another added.

“@romeomiller Now she knew we was gonna tag u in this ‘shoot ur shot’ video…. Issa set up lol,” someone else wrote.

Simmons’ last public relationship was with ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson who was killed in a shooting at his Atlanta home in November 2018. The couple were engaged in April 2016 and welcomed their son Sutton Joseph Tennyson a few months later in September. However, the pair called off their engagement in December 2017 after Simmons said she became unhappy.

Unfortunately, Simmons and Tennyson ensued in a heated child support battle in October, just a few days before the 37-year-old’s death. A source told Page Six in November that Simmons wanted more than $1,250 a month in child support. She also had received temporary custody of their child at the time due to an order of protection, Simmons claimed domestic violence against her ex-fiancé.

Although the “GUHH” star and Tennyson were in the midst of a legal dispute at the time of his passing, Simmons still mourned her former partner’s death.

Miller claimed he and Simmons are good friends right now and that he’s not currently pursuing anything romantic with her due to the loss of her ex-fiancé.

“She lost somebody, and she definitely got to grieve,” he told Page Six in Dec. “I am not a dude to take advantage of that.”
