‘Yard Mon Style!’ Safaree Samuels Gets Clowned for Seemingly Wearing Lip Gloss in a Recent Photo

Love and Hip Hop: New York” star Safaree Samuels is catching flak for adding a little oomph to his appearance.

Samuels, who’s known for his strained Jamaican accent and gaudy fashion, isn’t afraid to be a little “extra” with his image. He recently took to Instagram with a photo of himself parading around in a garish yellow-green-and-black leather coat with yellow fur trimming, proudly “repping” his Jamaican roots. He accessorized the look with a black skullcap and oversized sunglasses.

“Jamaicans be like how’d you know I’m Jamaican 😂😂🇯🇲🇯🇲🇯🇲,” the reality star joked in his caption.

Little did Samuels know, the joke was seemingly on him when fans pointed out his gleaming lips obtruding on the image.

“Them lips OILED DOWN BOYYYY! 😂,” a fan commented. “Wipe that gloss off 😆🤣!”

“Ur lips too shiney lipgloss head ass 😂,” another person wrote. “The jacket plus the chicken back grease on the lips? Yea real yadd mon ting 😂.”

“Yard mon style!” another added. “My yute, wah mek you lip so shine 😆.”

“So you gone eat all the chicken by ya self? Selfish G! But your lipgloss it’s poppin doe 🤣!” someone else wrote, roasting Samuels.

The 37-year-old, who is the ex-boyfriend of rap diva Nicki Minaj and is currently engaged to “LHH” star Erica Mena, has a reputation of being quite the jokester, but he too deals with the scrutiny of social media, like many other celebs in the limelight.

In April of 2018, Samuels reportedly was robbed at gunpoint of $183,000 by a childhood friend who appeared to be jealous of his success. The reality star discussed the incident with Power 105’s Angie Martinez on April 3 and broke down in tears while describing it as “one of the worst, scariest nights of my life.”

However, the “Hunnid” rapper’s tearful interview was looked at as “weak” by many fans and other celebrities, such as rapper T.I., who told Samuels on social media “Cold world, get a sweater,” with a shrugging emoji.

Samuels addressed the ridicule with a lengthy tweet on Twitter reading, “I’m not crying over lost jewelry, that’s material but being face and not knowing if you’re about to get shot in the back of your head is the most traumatic thing I’ve ever had to deal with.
