“Growing Up Hip Hop” star Angela Simmons and former actress of the reality show franchise Reginae Carter were both spotted wearing the exact same outfit.
Both celebrities were spotted wearing the Pro Lounger Velvet Jumpsuit from Fashion Nova which retails for $39.99. Product details include: long sleeves, skinny leg stretch and a waist tie.
Carter paired her burgundy ensemble up with a pair of white Gucci sneakers and a black fanny pack that retails for $1,150. In the photo, she opted for a full-coverage makeup look, including a matte eye look and a mauve-colored lippie, and showed off her ombre blond-and-black ringlets. In her Instagram caption, the 20-year-old encouraged fans to “go cop this fit” while pleading with them to not lash out at her for wearing Gucci.
Simmons, on the other hand, went for a more simplistic yet modish look and match the outfit with a pair of burgundy stiletto pumps. She accessorized it with oversized hoop earrings and a diamond-studded watch. Unlike Carter, she opted for a bare-face look, flossing her natural beauty and natural tresses. She modeled the garb over the weekend and captioned the image ” SuNDay ViBeS ♥️.”
Fans poured forth with their opinions on who wore the outfit best.
“Angela wore it better, it looks more classy 🤷🏾♀️ plus I prefer 👠,” one user commented, adding that Carter didn’t get the “canceled Gucci” memo. “Reginae must not know Gucci is cancelled.”
Another fan sided with Carter, adding that she looks amazing, “Im with Reginae on this one 😍 she looks so bomb!”
“Reginae won this fair and square. No if ands or buts!”
One fan declared the mini challenge a tie, saying, “Reginae wore it sporty and Angela wore it classy! Both bomb af and I like them both so it’s a tie 🤗.”
“Nah Angela wins this bout like Tyson beat Spinks! …. 8-9-10 you’re out!!!” another user wrote.
Speaking of Simmons, 31, she’ll be releasing the 2019 “Bonnie Bouche” collections this spring with Coogi. She first introduced the line in September 2018 during New York Fashion Week in New York City. She said the clothing line represents empowerment and unity.
“I am so excited to announce the launch of Bonnie Bouche which for me represents power, femininity, and inclusiveness,” the star wrote on her website. “I hope this collection will inspire young women to feel confident and powerful in their wardrobe so that they can concentrate on conquering their goals.”
