Jennifer Hudson wowed on the Oscars red carpet Sunday as she posed in a fire-engine red asymmetrical gown. But while the dress was a hit with fashion critics, social media users took notice of something more painful on the singer’s toes.
Hudson paired her Elie Saab Spring 2019 Haute Couture ruffle dress with a simple set of heels that exposed her feet. That display caught the eye of Twitter critics who couldn’t help but remark about the performer’s corns. It led “jennifer hudson feet” to start trending online.

The public has noticed Hudson’s corns before. For years, celebrity and shoe trend website Your Next Shoes has documented the many times Hudson stepped out onto the red carpet and bared her corns in various stages.
At the 2014 People’s Choice Awards, Hudson’s corns were much less noticeable in clear-strapped Manolo Blahnik sandals. By the time she attended Clive Davis’ annual Pre-Grammys party in 2018, however, the corns became a bit more prominent in the singer’s strapped, metallic ankle sandals.
