Angela Simmons Gets Backlash Over Latest ‘Thirst Trapping’ Bikini Post

Instagram users are increasingly becoming fed up with “Growing Up Hip Hop” actress Angela Simmons posting “half-naked” images on her feed.

The 31-year-old mother shared a selfie of herself in a bathing suit on Sunday that clearly didn’t sit well with fans. In the photo, she wore a Fashion Nova pink bikini top with matching bottoms.

Simmons wrote in her caption photo, “Oooo how I miss the sun right now 😫 swimwear.” She added the hashtag “#MyKneesLookAshyButTheyBurnt.”

Fans who follow the “GUHH” actress, pointed out a few recent photos of her wearing scanty clothing, mentioning her vacation photos from Barbados earlier this month. They immediately drew attention to Simmons’ ostensibly attention-seeking behavior and threatened to unfollow her on social media.

“Girl, I thought I liked you until I noticed all the IG photos you be putting up #seemsalittlethirsty,” one fan commented underneath Simmons’ picture. “I’m unfollowing 👋.”

Another fan commented, “😂 yo shorty really be on some thirst trapping s–t. “You be doing to much sit your a– down somehere… damn.”

“Dang how many half naked pics u gone post. Could be ok but your pictures make you seem so desperate,” another fan added. “Put some clothes on mama or I’m pressing that unfollow button.”

This isn’t Simmons’ first rodeo with seemingly being slut-shamed. In 2016, the “GUHH” star faced similar fan reactions when she announced her pregnancy with her now 2-year-old son Joseph Sutton Tennyson. Social media harshly judged her for having a child out of wedlock with her ex-fiancé Sutton Tennyson, who was gunned down last November.

During season 3 of “GUHH” she recalled the moment of dealing with fault-finding fans and found it bothersome

“They judged me. People are always going to be in my comments, ‘Where’s the dad?’ It’s nonstop. They’re always worried about my ring and if it’s on or off,” Simmons said. “They think they know me and they really don’t. They have no idea.”

She added, “Of course, I heard a lot of chatter about me having a child out of wedlock. You got to imagine, my son has to look back at this one day and you know what, I’m human and it happened.”
