There’s been talk that Wendy Williams‘ husband Kevin Hunter has been unfaithful for years now, but the rumor has grown noticeably louder over the past few weeks.
That’s because there was a report that stated Hunter impregnated his alleged mistress, who happens to a few miles from the family’s New Jersey home.
It didn’t take long for the couple to deny the allegations through their lawyer, but that hasn’t stopped the rumor mill from buzzing in the least. They also sent the publication that originally published the story a cease-and-desist letter.
But Maury Povich, whose talk show is all about getting to the bottom of things with lie detectors, said he’d help Wendy with her alleged marital problems. Right now she’s suffering from an upper arm injury and hasn’t taped her show in weeks. CNN’s Don Lemon has been pitching in for spot host appearances.
“Wendy, sounds like you need a DNA and lie detector test,” read a Jan. 16 message on Maury’s Facebook page. “Let me help you find the truth.”
It’s unlikely the 54-year-old will take Povich up on his offer, especially since she’s probably busy preparing to return to her own show. Wendy was originally supposed to come back on Jan. 14, but that date was pushed back to Jan. 21.
At this point, the show has been in reruns since Christmas Eve, and according to it’s distributors, Debmar-Mercury, Wendy can take even longer to return if she likes.
“As she has for the past 10 years, Wendy delivers an incomparable live talk show day in and day out, and we want to give her the best opportunity to heal and recover,” said Debmar-Mercury’s co-presidents Mort Marcus and Ira Bernstein. “Wendy has our complete and unwavering support, and we look forward to her return to the iconic purple chair.”
Povich, meanwhile, deleted his Facebook invitation to Wendy for unknown reasons.
