Wendy Williams Still ‘Out Sick’ Amid Husband’s Cheating Scandal, Fans Call It Karma

Gossip queen Wendy Williams won’t be returning to television this week, as she’s still recovering from a shoulder injury.

“Wendy Williams will be returning with all-new episodes of The Wendy Williams Show on Monday, January 14, 2019,” the show announced in an Instagram post-Saturday. “After fracturing her shoulder, Wendy is on the mend and wants to return pain-free and be 200 percent, delivering the best show that millions of viewers tune-in to watch.”

The announcement comes amid reports that the Emmy-nominated talk show, which is on its 10th season, could be in jeopardy due to Williams’ ongoing health struggles. Last year, the 54-year-old was diagnosed with Graves disease, an autoimmune disease that attacks the thyroid gland, and was more recently seen sporting a sling after suffering a hairline fracture in her arm.

“I’ve never taken a pain medication in my life (except when I got snatched over 20 years ago) until this week,” Williams wrote on Instagram after the injury. “I did that to power through and try to deliver a great show for you, against the better judgment of the many people around me who genuinely care for my well-being.”

“In the key place where the fracture is and trying to scurry around and do too much, I am now paying the price,” she added.

Some critics have been less than sympathetic to her plight, however, and insist Williams’ health issues, as well as issues in her personal life, are simply bad karma for the decades she’s spent gossiping about other people. Rumors that her husband, Kevin Hunter, got his mistress pregnant recently made Williams the talk of the town.

“Now that shit don’t feel good do it. KARMA NAME IS BITCH!” one person wrote.

“Wendy is shit; she is falling apart in front of our eyes crying all the time,” another chimed in. “That’s karma dude. She’s evil. What goes around comes around. She’s getting was she deserves you f—–g idiot!!”

Despite the criticism, the former radio DJ still has more than enough fans to go around, many of whom sent their well wishes and hopes for a speedy recovery.

“Get well soon! Had no idea … good thoughts and prayers coming her way!!!” a fan wrote.

“Wendy knows her fans will wait!” wrote another. “I hope she gets better soon! Praying for a safe quick recovery!”

“My days are not the same since you’ve been missed Wendy 😢 we loveeee you 💕 take care,” another chimed in.
