“Black-ish” stars Tracee Ellis Ross and Jenifer Lewis seemingly wanted to convey a message to those who believe they have a beef with each other: Everything is all good.
Earlier this week, a source from Radar Online said the two actresses have been clashing on set, to the point where they shut down production for 30 minutes. The gist of the rumored beef is that Lewis and Ross couldn’t be any more different from each other, because the 61-year-old is over-the-top and Ross isn’t.
The insider also said the two ladies got into it when Lewis was reading her lines and the former “Girlfriends” star was talking.
“Tracee can’t stand Jennifer and vice versa, they’re like oil and water, they don’t mix well,” claimed the source. “They’re just like their characters. Jennifer wants to be the boss and Tracee isn’t having it … Jenifer is way over the top 24/7 on the set and in real life.”
The women haven’t spoken about the rumored rift but perhaps they don’t have to because of the video Lewis posted to her Instagram on Friday.
“Jenifer, why are you being so loud this morning?” asked Ross with a mask on her face.
“You look like the invisible man,” her co-star replied, as she broke into laughter.
Lewis also captioned the video, which should give an indication where the two actresses stand. “Love and laughter,” she wrote. “Nuff said.”
Afterward, fans of both ladies left comments and some said they were tired of people pitting women against each other.
“OMG. Why the media pitting two Black women against each other,” one person wrote. “I’m sick of this sh–.”
