50 Cent Sets the Internet on Fire with ‘Power’ Prequel Tease: ‘You Already Know’

50 Cent decided to build a little more anticipation for the “Power” prequel.

The upcoming series is one of the shows that he was tapped to help create for the Starz Network, which has seen record-breaking numbers since “Power” first aired in 2014.

50 Cent posted a new message about the "Power" prequel.

“Power prequel TGE (The Golden Era ),” wrote the G-Unit rapper next to a photo of two men decked out in ’80s b-boy attire. “You already know what time I’m on. South Side, (Big Owen), #lecheminduroi, the return of young Kanan.”

In October, 50 first revealed the “Power” spin-off would be a sequel and the setting would be in his hometown of Southside Jamaica Queens. Fif shared the news while posting a photo of a vintage NYPD vehicle, and he also expressed excitement about the series.

“My Power spin off is so crazy. I’m doing the prequel,” he wrote back then. “Wait till you see this sh–. TGE influence (The Golden Era). Southside, we outside, 1988, Boom #lecheminduroi.”

Another show that Fif is developing for Starz is the highly anticipated “BMF” about the former Detroit crew, the Black Mafia Family, who ran a U.S. wide-drug organization until they were nabbed by the feds.

Last month the rapper and Starz’s CEO Chris Albrecht sat down for an interview, where they talked about 50’s new shows and what fans can expect.

“The prequel is my spin-off because I get to come back. I’m dead,” Fif explained. “It gives a chance to show the world where all of these characters grew, so you can see the defining moments develop, the imperfections that people are attracted to at the moment. It’s exciting, man.”

No word yet on when the prequel will arrive, but as far as “Power,” Naturi Naughton revealed that she finished shooting her portion of the upcoming sixth season, which is supposed to air this year.
